Senior systems engineering lead (cam) and e&t manager – grand prairie, tx

Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Lead/CAM for a position in Grand Prairie, TX working on missile defense systems.

This position is a lead role that has representative areas of responsibility including defining system requirements, development of robust missile and fire control algorithms, creating, modifying and integrating digital models in a high fidelity simulation, analyzing simulation data to evaluate system characteristics and performance, integrating and testing of work products.

A strong understanding of missiles and fire control systems will be required.

Applicants must have experience with leading large teams and project oversight.

Duties will include risk management, Control Account Management, leveraging subject matter experts to execute technical strategy.The Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager responsibility is a part-time increase in scope, for functional manager duties in addition to their regular technical duties.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution.

For the management and development of their team, the E&T manager is responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.To support functional initiative and directorate undertakings, the E&T manager is responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.To drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, the E&T manager is responsible for supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program.Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a final secret clearance prior to start.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Experience with leading technical teams.
• Project oversight with Control Account Management experience.
• Experience with performance simulations of aircraft, radars or missile systems.
• Simulation modeling experience.
• Ability to occasionally travel.Desired Skills:Experience with the following:
• Air defense solutions.
• C++, Ada, FORTRAN, and MATLAB.

• Object oriented programming.
• Integration of simulation components in a HWIL environment.
• Algorithm development experience for guidance, autopilots, and navigation for missiles.
• Prior engineering management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proposal Development experience; basis of estimate (BOE) development.
• Control account manager (CAM) experience.
• Earned Value Management Experience.
• Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams.
• Self-starter personality
• Ability to multitask.
