Senior CNO Developer/Researcher, Cybersecurity (Security Clearance Required)


This is a Contract position in Laurel, MD posted January 4, 2020.

What You’ll Get to Do:As a CNO Developer you bring your skills in software development and expert knowledge in cybersecurity, to extend and develop new tools for cyber operations.You will bring your development skills in C and C++ to develop innovative tools to be utilized in the field.You have at least a foundational knowledge of reverse engineering, operating system internals, firmware analysis, and vulnerability research.Our team is looking for motivated engineers who are passionate about developing and discovering new techniques and technologies, to progress their skills in CNO development and engineering.In the role, you will provide design ideas for new capabilities or recommendations for improvements to existing capabilities;Apply expert knowledge of multiple programming languages such as C/C++, assembly (e.g.

x86, ARM, MIPS), Python, or PERL.Familiar with multiple software development methodologies (e.g.

Scrum, TDD, Waterfall).Expert level knowledge of security concepts, networks, device drivers, & system internals are applied in daily tasks.Expert knowledge in at least one technology area (e.g.

Windows, Unix, Mobile, Network devices).Communicates status with leadership and customers.Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming.Ensures software standards are met.Leads the design, development, documenting, testing and debugging of applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Able to lead a project developing hardware or software based CNO capabilities providing direction to other CNO developers.Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project.Performs as technical expert.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:Develop Windows capabilities using Visual Studio using C and/or Python programming languages.Debug Windows using WinDbg.Participate in SW lifecycle management activities.You’ll have an Active TS/SCI with Poly to start.
