.NET Application Architect

This is a Full-time position in Houston, MO posted March 25, 2020.

The .NET Application Architect is responsible for the overall architecture and design of software solutions.

This role will create and present application solutions and work as part of the application development team to implement them.

The .NET Application Architect serves as the primary architectural coach for the development teams to help create a broader understanding of patterns, practices, and emerging technologies.

They will also be responsible for assisting in the creation of prototypes and validating technology assumptions and alternatives.

Job Responsibilities Architecture and design of software solutions Participates in planning, defining, and documenting application solution designs Defines system boundaries, subsystems, interfaces, and plans solution deployment Participates in design and code reviews Establishes critical functional and non-functional solution requirements Follows Domain Driven Design principles, follows best application design and development best practices, patterns, and procedures.

Assists with determining appropriate technologies for future endeavors Applications Development Adheres to Agile development principles Mentors other team members in application development and design practices Other duties as assigned Cross-Collaboration Collaborates with team members in conceptualizing and developing new solutions and applications Interacts with project stakeholders about features under development Works with and on Agile teams to implement solutions Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required Bachelorrsquos degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, andor usability issues.

Prior experience providing application architectural designs and documentation.

Proven experience leading development teams in implementing applications following architectural designs.

Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

Experience in oil gas midstream applications is a plus.

Ability to architect, develop and implement application solutions Working knowledge of the general application development landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies Strong knowledge of the following Visual Studio Multiple versions of .Net framework SQL Server Web Service creation and consumption Net MVC Messaging architectures nServiceBus Object Oriented Design principles, patterns, and best practice Implementation of DevOps practices and Automation such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products Self-motivated and directed Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Technical A minimum of 8 years of enterprise application development experience with .Net designing and implementing complex solutions A minimum of 3 years of experience with another development language such as JAVA, force.com, PowerBuilder, etc.

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a formal architect role A minimum of 3 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks A minimum of 4 years developing Service Oriented .Net Applications Must have strong Object Oriented C background Experience with nServiceBus, WCF, and Web API web services Azure DevOps, GIT, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, or other source control software Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Attention Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.
