Hardware Installation Specialist – TS/SCI required (Security Clearance Required)

REQ: G2019-59339Contract: I2TS3Position Title: Lead Technician, Network – Installation Specialist (L2)Location: Fort Bragg, NC GENERAL SUMMARY: GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM’s mission.

INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks.

The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: An I2TS 3 Installation Specialist:Conducts hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and designMakes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirementsProvides installation management to include creating list of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project statusPlans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructuresInstalls and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiberProvides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to, data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspacesPerforms installs and terminations for all types of standard IT cable and fiberTroubleshoot and resolve issues with network infrastructure and/or componentsRecommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices Skills / Experience:Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and supportComprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and softwareComprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applicationsRequired Certifications:Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security CE or equivalentRequired Computing Environment (CE) certification: CCENTSecurity Clearance:TS/SCI requiredAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e.
