This is a Full-time position in Fairfax County, VA posted February 17, 2020.

We are looking for a Drupal Developer to join our Team, developing a new Drupal 8 application, to improve our registration process.

This position will primarily be helping develop and implement new Drupal modules.

As a module developer, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of custom modules, as well as teaching our Team how to best use those modules.

Responsibilities and Duties: Design and implement new Drupal features and functionality in support of the project Establish and guide the web application’s architecture/structure, based on best practices Configure and maintain Drupal instances; to include all custom created module(s) Write and review PHP code, using best practices Write unit tests to help keep code clean Document technical implementations, clearly and concisely Work closely with the team to ensure effective implementation of the module Commit patches and custom modules to drupal.org Qualifications: Has at least 2 years of Drupal experience, preferably Drupal 8 Has at least 2 years of PHP experience Has experience building user interfaces for website and/or web applications Has experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations Can quickly pick up new technologies and apply them efficiently Builds strong relationships with internal and external team members; a natural collaborator Has excellent communication skills; both written and oral Has knowledge and experience with Agile and TDD methodologies Has experience using version control systems, such as Git Preferred Skills: Has experience building eCommerce web-based applications Has experience with front-end development in Drupal, Twigs & Theming Takes initiative and seeks out new technology to improve the system Is an active member of the Drupal community Has strong HTML / CSS / JS skills Has experience developing in a LAMP environment Has experience with Docker or similar virtualization technologies Has experience with Cloud technologies and scalability Benefits: Possibility for up to two (2) days telecommuting per week 37.5 hour full time work week Employer Sponsored Medical, Dental and Vision, cover 100% Employee Only Base Plan (HMO/POS/HDHP with HSA); effective the first of the month following date of hire Two (2) weeks Vacation, two (2) weeks Sick Leave Basic Term Life and AD&D Insurance, at no cost to employee Voluntary Benefits to include: Life Insurance, Disability, Aflac Employee Assistance Program International Medical Benefits Paid Holidays (over ten (10) days in 2019) 401K with employer match Referral rewards Monday-Friday Core hours: 8:30-5PM, flexible Remote: Up to two days a week 37.5 hour work week
