This is a Contract position in Douglas County, CO posted January 3, 2020.

QA Job Description Description Quality Assurance (QA) analyst with Automation and ability to script and test custom and vendor provided applications.

You will be required to learn the key system operation in support of business, school and staff needs, used and developed by the district, create and execute test plans, and automate testing tasks.

This will include working with stakeholders to understand acceptance criteria, working with development and support teams to test and provide feedback to developers, and supporting the goals of the district.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in DevOps environments testing delivery automation, and experience with custom applications developed with JAVA, web technologies, REST services, and off-the-shelf products, including developing automated tests for front-ends, integrations and microservices.

Responsibilities Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on stakeholder and technical input Coordinate work between teams to maximize feedback, and minimize issues with user experience Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate QA Automation activities Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Develop and apply QA Automation and Manual processes for new and existing products to meet client needs Liaise with internal teams (e.g.

developers and product managers) to identify system requirements Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts Requirements Proven work experience in software development Proven work experience in software quality assurance Proven critical thinking and analysis skills Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, Automation tools and processes Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing Hands-on experience with automated testing tools Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Ideal candidates might also have: Experience managing custom software deliveries Experience with DevOps tools and capabilities Experience with continuous integration and delivery
